“A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.”

The Queen’s Conference on Education is more than just a resource to provide opportunities to those interested in Education, it is a gateway to open and encourage the potential future of the teachers of tomorrow. The Queen’s Conference on Education highlights this year as an anniversary of 10 successful years of many enlightening conference weekends, established by Queen’s Students. QCE has always served as a platform for undergraduate students interested teaching to build their skills and knowledge in the field of education.

QCE is an established and professional conference, where speakers, workshop presenters, and delegates travel to share their experiences and knowledge of teaching and learning. QCE began as an idea of the clever minds of a handful of young individuals who thought the opportunity to explore the dynamics of education outside of undergraduate studies in a qualified and comfortable environment, was just what students interested in Education needed.

Teachers are diverse and socially coherent individuals, which means the sharing of resources that benefit students is important for educational collaboration throughout society. Each year QCE has seen the number of delegates grow, the number of resources increase in abundance, and support from the Queen’s community and external partners develop. It has moved from the brain child of underdraduate students to a recognizable annual event to which many look forward to.  QCE is constantly changing, this is why in our 10th year we hope you enjoy the challenge to critically explore today’s education.
