DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

Tianah is delighted to act as the Director of Finance for QCE this year! Tianah is in her second year of Concurrent Education, majoring in Linguistics. She is in the Intermediate/Secondary stream with teachables in Biology and French. As the Director of Finance, Tianah is responsible for dealing with the QCE spending plan, finding extra sources of funding, and in particular ensuring QCE is monetarily accessible to all. When she isn’t studying, Tianah teaches swimming lessons and enjoys playing guitar and loves to partake in water-sports. I am so excited for everybody to participate in this year's conference and to have the opportunity to further my insights as a future teacher! If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact Tianah at qce_finance@cesa.queensu.ca

Jaebets Joseph

DIRECTOR OF SPONSORSHIP

Jaebets “JJ” Joseph is so extremely elated for all the great things coming up with QCE, where we as a Con-Ed community have the opportunity to come together, learn, educate, inform, and understand one another! Jaebets is in the third year of the Concurrent Education program, pursuing a medial in French and History. He is hoping to teach in the intermediate/secondary division, and be a positive influence for these students in that cohort. As Director of Sponsorship, Jaebets is responsible for reaching out to various businesses and institutions to secure monetary and in-kind donations. In his spare time, he enjoys some Netflix/television shows, hanging out with friends, and going for walks. I am so incredibly grateful for this chance to achieve our goals as a team this year, and myself to grow as a future educator! If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach him at qce_sponsorship@cesa.queensu.ca

Esther Eisen

CONFERENCE CHAIR

Esther is super excited to be apart of the QCE team this year! Esther is in her third year of Concurrent Education, with a medial in Psychology and English. She is in the Primary/Junior stream and hopes to teach Kindergarten and eventually work towards improving the Canadian education system. As Conference Chair, Esther is responsible for planning and hosting QCE in coordination with the QCE Executive team, CESA Council and the Faculty of Education. Esther is also responsible for managing the Conference registration and acts as the official contact person for Conference delegates. Esther loves eating ice cream, watching The Office, and talking about education reform (every day and in that order)! She promises to work her hardest to ensure that QCE remains an engaging and transformative experience through this new platform. If you have any questions, comments or concerns please feel free to contact Esther at qce_chair@cesa.queensu.ca.

Lexie Ingoldsby

DIRECTOR OF LOGISTICS

Lexie is so excited for the many amazing things she and her team are planning for QCE’s 20th anniversary! Lexie is currently in third year of Concurrent Education, pursuing a major in Heath Studies. Lexie is in the primary/junior division and is looking forward to working in the education field, specifically with a goal of becoming an elementary school teacher. As the Director of Logistics, she is responsible for organizing the workshop presenters, keynote speakers, and volunteer recruitment. In her spare time, you can always find Lexie in the dance studio or hanging out with her friends. Lexie cannot wait to showcase the passion and excitement from all the speakers who will be presenting at QCE. If you have any questions or would like to get involved, feel free to contact her at qce_logistics@cesa.queensu.ca

Ariella Garber

DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL EVENTS

Ariella Garber could not be more excited to be the Director of Special Events for QCE 2021! She is in her fourth year of Concurrent Education, studying linguistics and music, and hopes to teach English as a Second Language in the primary/junior stream. Traditionally, the Director of Special Events is responsible for planning the Saturday night banquet and Sunday social, however due to Covid, these have no longer been feasible. Instead, Ariella has been in charge of marketing the conference and has been an invaluable support to her team. In her spare time, you can find Ariella hanging out with friends, cooking/baking, reading, and watching tons of Netflix. She cannot wait to celebrate QCE’s 20th anniversary this year, and hopes that delegates leave the conference feeling confident to take on new leadership roles! If you have any questions, feel free to contact Ariella at qce_specialevents@cesa.queensu.ca
